Tippmann Innovation is working for providing refrigeration technology that will maintain temperature as low as -20F.

On December 5, 2017, Americold Logistics LLC (U.S.), provider of temperature-controlled warehousing and logistic to food industry has opened a new warehouse facility in Clearfield. The new facility may include advanced machineries that eliminate the requirement for a large engine room and on-site storage of ammonia. It could also offer regulating temperature zones below -20F with refrigerated docks.

Crowley Logistics, Jacksonville, Fla., recently inaugurated CrowleyFresh cold storage facility in Jacksonville. The new storage features humidity and temperature-controlled chillers, and monitoring equipment in two separate chambers. Cooler chambers are insulated and firmly sealed to provide food safety and to avoid cross-contamination. Customers may also get benefit from the dry side of the warehouse that consist of 100,000 square feet of storage space. The facility will support customers who are using the company’s LNG-powered combination container/roll-on roll-off (ConRo) ships. CrowleyFresh is a partnership between Customized Brokers and Crowley Logistics.

Recently, IG International, Indian fruit trader has inaugurated its newly acquired cold store facility in Mumbai. It consists of 5,000 square meters of space and 4,000-pallet facility. It was formerly utilized by Kelvin. It can maintain temperatures ranging from -4°F to 68°F.
Factors such as increasing organized retail sectors and strict government regulations regarding the production and supply of temperature-sensitive products can propel the cold storage market during the forecast period (2014 to 2025).
